Object Spawn Extension

Object Spawn Extension adds extra features to Object Spawn System.

The distributed unitypackage also includes Object Spawn System, so importing Object Spawn Extension installs all required components together.

Features

  • Spawn an item at the point nearest to the player from multiple spawn points
  • Configure position and rotation offsets relative to the destination for each spawned item
  • Reuse the height and rotation offsets configured on an ObonEasy v3.0 or later TrayItem / TrayItemManual when spawning
  • Spawn and Return items with complex structures where the Pickup is on a child GameObject
  • Spawn and Return edible items made by henoGohan (v7.x.x and v8.x.x series)
  • Notify any UdonBehaviour with a custom event after a successful Spawn or Return
  • Automatically migrate existing SpawnObject and ReturnObject components to their Extension versions

Tested environment

  • Unity 2022.3.22f1
  • VRChat SDK - Worlds 3.10.4

Start with Installation and testing, then test the included sample scene.

Relationship with Object Spawn System

Object Spawn Extension inherits from the included Object Spawn System components SpawnObject and ReturnObject. Basic settings for VRCObjectPool, ResetSwitch, and layers work the same way.

If this is your first time using Object Spawn System, follow the basic setup in order. Use SpawnObjectExt on the Spawn switch and ReturnObjectExt on the Return trigger.

See the Object Spawn System documentation for more information about the base system.

Object Spawn Extension is a paid product. See Runtime/LICENSE.txt in the distributed package for conditions covering modification, redistribution, commercial use, and other uses.
